Privacy Policy

Moving Friends Forward Group
A real estate team with Oakwyn Realty Ltd., Fraser Valley, British Columbia

Effective date: October 9, 2026

1. Who we are

This policy is issued by Marites Kliem Personal Real Estate Corporation, which runs the real estate team registered with the BC Financial Services Authority as Moving Friends Forward Group ("MFFG", "we", "us"). Our brokerage is Oakwyn Realty Ltd. ("Oakwyn"). We serve the Fraser Valley in British Columbia.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what choices you have. It applies to:

  • people who respond to our recruitment ads, including our Facebook and Instagram lead forms;
  • people who contact us through our website, by phone, by email or on social media;
  • our clients and prospective clients.

We follow British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

2. Our privacy promises in short

  • We collect only what we need to respond to you.
  • We use it only for the reason you gave it to us, unless you agree to something more.
  • We never sell your personal information.
  • We only send you marketing emails if you say yes, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your information.

3. What we collect and why

A. Recruitment enquiries (real estate agents and people getting licensed)

If you fill in one of our recruitment forms on Facebook or Instagram, we receive:

  • your full name, phone number and email address;
  • your answers to our short questions: whether you are licensed in BC, where you mainly work, and how long you have been licensed;
  • whether you ticked the optional box to receive email updates from us.

Why: to contact you about working with our team, to understand whether our team may be a good fit for you, and to arrange a conversation if you want one.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us through the form, your date of birth, social insurance number, health details, financial information or licence documents.

B. Website, phone, email and social media enquiries

If you contact us by any of these means, we collect only what you choose to give us. This is usually your name, contact details and your message.

Why: to answer your question and follow up on your request.

C. Clients and prospective clients

If you ask about buying or selling a home, we collect the information needed to help you. Examples include your contact details, what you are looking for, your timeline and details about a property.

When you become a client, some information must be collected and kept by our brokerage under real estate and anti-money-laundering rules. Examples include identity verification and transaction records.

4. How we use your information

We use your information only to:

  • respond to your enquiry and follow up by phone, text or email;
  • for recruitment enquiries, decide whether to invite you to a conversation and keep track of our follow-up;
  • provide real estate services if you are or become a client;
  • send you occasional email updates, but only if you agreed (see section 5);
  • keep basic records and meet our legal and professional obligations.

Tyson Kliem personally makes the phone calls and sends the follow-up texts for recruitment enquiries. We may also use summary numbers that do not identify you (for example, "8 enquiries this month") to judge how well our advertising works.

We do not use your information for any other purpose without your consent, unless the law requires or allows it.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

We share it only as needed with:

  • Our team members who need it to contact you or help you.
  • Our brokerage, Oakwyn, where needed for licensing, compliance or a real estate transaction.
  • Service providers who help us run our business and who may only use the information to provide their service to us:
    • Meta (Facebook and Instagram), which runs the lead form and keeps a copy of your submission under Meta's own privacy policy;
    • Google, which stores our private lead and contact records;
    • Twilio, which sends us a text alert when a new enquiry arrives so we can call you quickly;
    • Cloudflare, which runs the small system that moves the enquiry from Meta to us. It keeps only a reference number, not your name or contact details.
  • Others where the law requires or allows it, such as a regulator or a court order.

Storage outside Canada. Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, mainly in the United States. While it is there, it may be subject to the laws of that country, including lawful access by its authorities.

8. How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards, including:

  • private, access-restricted records that only the people who need them can open;
  • no public or "anyone with the link" sharing;
  • secure, password-protected accounts with two-step sign-in where available;
  • collecting only the fields we need.

No system is perfectly secure. If a privacy breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will tell you and explain what we are doing about it.

9. Cookies and website analytics

Our website and its host may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site secure and working. We may also use analytics or advertising tools, such as Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel, to understand how visitors use the site and to measure our advertising. Where used, these tools collect information such as pages visited, device type, IP address and approximate location. They do not give us your name. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage ad preferences in your Facebook and Instagram settings.

10. Your rights and choices

You can ask us to:

  • see the personal information we hold about you, how it has been used, and who it has been shared with;
  • correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • stop using it for a purpose you previously agreed to, such as email updates;
  • delete it, where we are not required to keep it.

Send your request to our privacy contact (section 12). We will respond within 30 days, as BC law requires. We may need to confirm your identity first. Access requests are normally free. If a request is unusually large, we will tell you about any minimal fee before we do the work.
